Aitareya Upanishad 1.8

स एतं पुरुषं ब्रह्म प्राणायत | तस्य मूर्धानं विदार्यैतया द्वारा प्राविशत् | सैषा विदृतिर्नाम द्वास्तदेतन्नान्दनम् ॥

sa etam purusham brahma pranayata | tasya murdhanam vidaryaitaya dvara pravvishat | saisha vidritir nama dvas tad etan nandanam ||

He directed this Person to Brahman. Splitting open the crown of the head, He entered through that door. That door is called Vidriti (the cleft); it is the place of bliss.

उसने (आत्मा ने) इस पुरुष को ब्रह्म-स्वरूप से सम्पन्न किया। उसके मूर्धा (शिर के शिखर) को विदीर्ण करके वह उसी द्वार से प्रविष्ट हुआ। वही द्वार 'विदृति' नाम से जाना जाता है; यही वह 'नान्दन' (आनन्द-स्थान) है।
