Brahma Sutras 1.25

छन्दोऽभिधानान्नेति चेन्न तथा चेटोऽर्पणनिगदात्तथा हि दर्शनम् ॥

chando'bhidhanat na iti chen na tatha cheto'rpana-nigadat tatha hi darshanam

If it be said that Brahman is not meant because of the mention of the Gayatri metre, we say no, because the mind is directed to be fixed on it, as is seen in other passages.

यदि [ज्योति ब्रह्म नहीं] क्योंकि [वहाँ] छन्द (गायत्री) का वर्णन है — तो नहीं, क्योंकि [उसी प्रकरण में] मन को उसमें अर्पण करने का निर्देश है, और ऐसा [अन्यत्र भी] दिखता है ॥
