Dhammapada 6.7

यथापि रहदो गम्भीरो विप्पसन्नो अनाविलो | एवं धम्मानि सुत्वान विप्पसीदन्ति पण्डिता ॥

yathapi rahado gambhiro vippasanno anavilo | evam dhammani sutvana vippasidanti pandita ||

Just as a deep lake is clear and calm, so the wise become serene after hearing the teachings.

जैसे गहरा सरोवर स्वच्छ, निर्मल और अनाविल (बिना मैल वाला) होता है, वैसे ही धर्मों को सुनकर पण्डित प्रसन्न (निर्मल) हो जाते हैं।
