Rig Veda 10.15

सप्तास्यासन्परिधयस्त्रिः सप्त समिधः कृताः । देवा यद्यज्ञं तन्वाना अबध्नन्पुरुषं पशुम् ॥

sapta asyasan paridhayah trih sapta samidhah kritah | deva yad yajnam tanvana abadhnan purusham pashum

Seven were his enclosing sticks; thrice seven were the fuel sticks made. When the gods, performing the sacrifice, bound the Cosmic Being as the offering.

सात थे यज्ञ के परिधि; इक्कीस समिधाएँ बनाई गईं — जब देवों ने यज्ञ का विस्तार करते हुए पुरुष-पशु को बाँधा।
