Rig Veda 10.7

तं यज्ञं बर्हिषि प्रौक्षन्पुरुषं जातमग्रतः । तेन देवा अयजन्त साध्या ऋषयश्च ये ॥

tam yajnam barhishi praukshan purusham jatam agratah | tena deva ayajanta sadhya rishayash cha ye

They sprinkled on the sacred grass that sacrifice — the Cosmic Being, born in the beginning. With him the gods sacrificed, and the Sadhyas and the sages.

उस आदि में प्रकट पुरुष-यज्ञ को उन्होंने बर्हिष् पर अभिषेक किया। उसी से देवों, साध्यों और ऋषियों ने यज्ञ किया।
