Verse 1
Rising up from darkness, gazing on the higher light, we have reached the Sun-god, the supreme light among the gods.
Verse 2
Rising today, O friendly Sun, ascending to the higher heaven, destroy my heart's disease and my yellowness.
Verse 3
Among the parrots and the ropanaka birds we lay my yellowness; and in the haridrava trees we place my yellowness.
Verse 4
This Aditya has risen with all his power, bringing my foe into subjection. May I not be subjected to my foe.
