चित्रं देवानामुदगादनीकं चक्षुर्मित्रस्य वरुणस्याग्नेः । आप्रा द्यावापृथिवी अन्तरिक्षं सूर्य आत्मा जगतस्तस्थुषश्च ॥

chitram devanam ud agad anikam chakshur mitrasya varunasya agneh | apra dyava-prithivi antarikshham surya atma jagatas tasthushash cha

The brilliant face of the gods has risen — the eye of Mitra, Varuna, and Agni. He has filled heaven, earth, and the atmosphere. Surya is the soul of all that moves and all that stands still.

देवों का चित्ररूप, विचित्र मुख उदित हुआ है — मित्र, वरुण और अग्नि का नेत्र। उसने द्यौ, पृथ्वी और अन्तरिक्ष को भर दिया है। सूर्य जगत् के — जो चलता है और जो स्थिर है — दोनों का आत्मा हैं।
