अतीतानागतं स्वरूपतोऽस्त्यध्वभेदाद्धर्माणाम् ॥

atita-anagatam svarupatah asty adhva-bhedaad dharmanam

The past and the future exist in their own nature, the difference being in the characteristics of the paths of time.

अतीत और अनागत अपने स्वरूप में विद्यमान हैं; धर्मों के अध्व (समय-पथ) की भिन्नता के कारण ही भेद है।
