क्षणप्रतियोगी परिणामापरान्तनिर्ग्राह्यः क्रमः ॥

kshana-pratiyogi parinama-aparanta-nirgrahyah kramah

Sequence is the uninterrupted succession of moments, apprehensible at the end of a transformation.

क्षण का प्रतियोगी (उत्तरोत्तर क्षणों का क्रम), परिणाम के अन्त में निग्राह्य (जान लिया जाने वाला) — यही क्रम है।
